The M Missoni t-shirt for Vogue Fashion’s Night Out 2014

As the brand’s project for Vogue Fashion’s Night Out shows this year, the trick comes totally easy. To mark the Milan event on September 16th, M Missoni entrusted eclectic Italian talent Fabrizio Sclavi with the task of inventing an ultra original take on the basic T-shirt, ultimate article of clothing fine for everyone.
Now the legendary white tee in sizes S, M, L becomes irresistibly unique thanks to Sclavi’s personal touch. He’s the one who got the idea to pizzazz up the maxi logo on the front, playing gloriously with color, adding a geometric/graphic twist, then rubber-stamping his signature for a nice auteur flair. Going strong, of course, on the brand’s favorite chromatic palette – red, yellow, blue – in the freshest & brightest shades. A leading name in Italian and international fashion journalism since the early 1970s, Sclavi has always cultivated his passion for storytelling, finding in drawing the perfect art form for talking about his own singular vision of life and of the world.
All proceeds from sales of the T-shirt – on the occasion of the Vogue Fashion Night Out featured at the extra special price of 35 euros – will go to Orphan Aid Africa, the non-profit/non-governmental organization which since 2002 has made every effort to improve living conditions for orphans and other disadvantaged children in Ghana. Ensuring the same is Margherita Maccapani Missoni, chairman of the NGO’s Italian chapter.
In the final analysis, there’s no better way to warm the heart than by putting an upbeat slant on such a major moment of solidarity.
